Certified Canine Behaviorist, Casey Pyne
We are thrilled to welcome newly certified canine behaviorist, Casey Pyne, to the 3D Dog Team. Casey is a former Birmingham Zoo Predator II Animal Care Professional with experience working with 100+ different animal species.
Training Experience includes: African lions, Ocelot cats,
and now canines!
Casey's extensive background in animal behavior is now available to help Birmingham area dog parents improve their relationships.
"My passion for animals is an important part of who I am. My family always had pets, and so I was constantly around animals growing up. Life is richer for having pets in our lives.
My training background and educational experience with a wide variety of animals has prepared me to innovate novel solutions for challenging dogs. Additionally, I love educating people about animals and communicating how they animal live and think."

Birmingham Zoo – Animal Care Professional, Predator II Team
Responsible for tasks associated with the daily care of the zoo’s vast collection of exotic animals, including feeding, medicating, cleaning, exhibit maintenance, enrichment, etc.
Display mastery of dangerous animal S.O.P.’s and acted as a primary keeper for class 1 dangerous animals.
Trained new, and maintained established animal husbandry behaviors such as voluntary blood-draw, weigh, crate, etc.
Utilized operant conditioning techniques to shape and manage animal behavior.
Educated zoo guests in a variety of settings, such as formal shows, presentations, keeper chats, and informal interactions.
Kept detailed records on all aspects of animal care. Worked with species survival plan recommendations for breeding of endangered animals.
